The Problem

A manufacturer of cold drawn steel products was experiencing unplanned downtime of their essential manufacturing equipment that was disrupting production and hurting profitability of the company. Productivity was suffering. The company had no real problem solvers to attack the issue.

Our Approach

APO worked with leadership to craft a custom Lean Six Sigma training program for members of leadership and maintenance staff. We coupled the downtime problem in with the training, and walked the Team through the solution with their new training knowledge in hand.

The Results

APO was to create lasting value for this cold drawn steel manufacturer by training and facilitating a project solution all in one delivery package. Downtime is reduced by 30% and the Team is confident in continuing to solve manufacturing process problems.
